Science: Students will be working on Matter. We have just started the unit and will not have any quizzes until next week due to scheduling conflicts. I want to make sure that students have enough exposure to the information before assessing!
Math: Students started to explore multiplying 2 digit numbers by 2 digit numbers. There is a link to a video to help students with difficulty at home! See the Math Page. We will be working on this skill all week!

Math: Students have been working on multiplying 3 digit or larger numbers by 1 digit numbers. We will be moving on to 2 digit times 2 digit numbers next week.
Students will have a math quiz that covers all the topics in multiplication up to this point! Students should review their notes to review the concepts. Science: We have begun our discussion about Matter. We have answered two of our big idea questions! What is Matter? and What are the 3 types of matter in our ecosystems? Mrs. Christensen's Homeroom will have a quiz over the topic on Wednesday 3/2. Mrs. Pardue's Homeroom will have a quiz over the topic on Friday 3/4. We are continuing to work on the distributive property. Look for notes on the math page soon!
Students took the Chapter 4 Test today. We will be starting our matter unit next week.
Math: Students will be working on the distributive property with multiplication for the week. Students should still be practicing their basic facts (0-12) for mastery!!!
Science: Chapter 4 Test on Wednesday, February 16 (for both Pardue and Christensen Homerooms). We start our Matter unit next week! Check the science page for notes and vocab for Chapter 4! Math: Students were working on estimating products and using the distributive property to solve problems.
Assignment: Practice Basic Multiplication Facts Science: Students finished Lesson 4 and will be preparing for the Chapter Test next Wednesday (for both classes). Math: Students took their weekly skills check over the skills of factoring and multiplication patterns. Students are still having to count or check their times tables to know basic facts.

Science: Mrs. Christensen's HR- Students took their Ch. 4 Lesson 3 Quiz today over pollution. Mrs. Pardue's HR- Students received notes (also in my science section) to prepare for their Lesson 3 Quiz tomorrow, 2/4. We also had a special guest visit our classes. Mr. Lou Hooker, a Fremont author, was in to share his experiences growing up and becoming an author in Michigan. He will be back at school on Friday, 2/4 for students who are interested to purchas Parents- We are currently on the trimester schedule at Ealy and are still in our second trimester. The trimester will end on March 11, with report cards going home the following week. Please stay posted on Teacherease.com to monitor student progress.
